The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati, is a premier Autonomous Institute of National Importance established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research.
The Institute invites online applications from Indian nationals, including eligible Persons of Indian Origins (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) and Non Resident Indians (NRIs) having excellent academic record and relevant work experience for the posts of Professor and Assistant Professor in areas of Computer Science, Chemistry, Earth and Climate Sciences, Economics & Statistics, Physics and Plant sciences
Applications should be submitted online duly following the instructions given on the website. Incomplete applications not supported by relevant documents will not be considered. The portal for submission of applications will be opened on 13 April 2026 12:00 PM.

# Backlog Vacancy
@ One Vacancy is a lien vacancy. The candidate appointed against this vacancy is likely to be made permanent on successful completion of probation, subject to good performance, if the incumbent holding the lien does not repatriate to IISER Tirupati.
In the event of repatriation of the incumbent, the candidate appointed against that particular lien vacancy shall have to vacate the post and his/her services will be terminated/ discontinued from the date of reversion of the incumbent to this position.
Scale of Pay & Eligibility - Details of Scale of Pay and Educational Qualification & Experience are as under:

| 2. | Assistant Professor | Academic Pay Level -12 (Entry pay ₹. 1,01,500/-) | PhD with a first class in the preceding degree with very good academic record. At least three years of relevant post-PhD experience in teaching / research / industry. |
